Seeking
Graphic Designer for the creative services department of a national
sports cable network. Ideal candidate has a unique and fresh design
sense and can translate ideas into graphic and animated elements for
promos and show/event packages.
Primary Responsibilities:
•Responsible
for the creation of graphic and animated elements for daily and image
promos, sales tapes and show packages. Emphasis on typesetting and logo
design.
•Conceptualize and animate network ID’s, event insert graphics, titles, pop-ups and end pages.
•Effectively communicate concepts and ideas to design team, producers and clients.
•Must understand and translate Network’s brand strategy into quality design. | | Minimum Requirements | Job-related Education/Skills/Experience:
•College graduate with degree in graphic design or fine arts
•2+ yrs progressively complex experience in network or agency production environment
•Understanding of the implementation of design elements in network television and live sports environments a must.
•Knowledge of Maya, Final Cut Pro or Avid Express highly desired.
•Proficiency with After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator
•Adept at expressing concepts with type.
•Must understand video production and have competency with computer art.
•Knowledge of 3D including modeling and texturing, animating, digital video and photography a plus.
•Must fully understand the importance of brand communication.
•Must be flexible, detail-oriented, deadline driven and a good collaborator.
POSITION IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN NYC BUT WILL BE RELOCATING TO PHILADELPHIA IN JUNE 2008.
Travel between the two locations will be required during the transition period. |
