Under the direction of the Systems Support Manager perform various duties to provide technical support to the live broadcasts. This includes repair and interface of broadcast equipment as well as construction, testing and documentation of new system installations and upgrades to existing systems.
Additional duties include:
Provide technical support for the Live Show.
Provide support for Post Production.
Installation of new equipment or rewiring of existing equipment to specifications set by Project Leader/Manager.
Perform preventative maintenance and equipment repair.
Repair broadcasting related equipment.
Identify and correct causes of equipment and system failures.
Recommend means of preventing equipment and system failures.
Perform uplink tasks including transmission and reception, systems setups, operations and monitoring, technical performance logging as well as systems maintenance.
Monitor audio-video quality.

This is an on-call position, so shifts & hours vary.
Qualifications & Requirements
Associate Degree in Electronics or equivalent combination of training and experience required.
SBE Broadcast Engineer certification or FCC license preferred.
One to four (1-4) years of recent engineering experience in a television broadcast environment preferred.
Must have experience troubleshooting broadcast equipment and systems and be component in reacting quickly to critical situations that occur in live broadcast situations.
Computer programming experience.
CAD experience is helpful.
